Life is sweet.

Thanks Aunty Mindy for the matching aprons!!!

Easter Twirly Dresses

Grandma sent some dresses for Easter and they were a SCORE! Very twirly and perfect for dancing.

It has been very interesting to watch the girls' personalities come out. ConLai is very tenderhearted and likes playing by the rules.
Juliana likes to change up those rules.
Once I figured this out about them, I understand the two of them better.

We have received the same question many times lately. "Are they twins?"

The 3 Stooges

Some of you may not know, but our life the last 4 months has been characterized by following these 3 Stooges around and watching their team's basketball games. Anthony has had some great guy time, the girls have had some great popcorn, and I have had great basketball to watch. This is before their final game, which landed them 5th place at state.

By the way, to all you bloggers out there, if you leave your background the same all year long, eventually you'll come back to the season the background was intended for.

Attic soon to be Cozy Getaway

Bethesda Church has been so generous and caring for us. Over and over again we are blessed by the people. At Christmas time they gave us a very generous love offering which has provided us the means to finish our attic! This is not a complete before picture since Anthony has finished the subfloor and we began putting in wall insulation and cut out a cubby hole into the eaves. Caleb and my dad put in the ceiling boards (whatever those are called) and Anthony has done wiring. But it's still looking pretty stark.

My handsome renovator. :) You won't find one like this one in the yellow pages. He can do pretty much everything he sets his mind to.
After coming up the stairs, looking East.
In the middle of the room still looking East.
In the middle of the room, looking to the corner where there will be a very special secret passage.
 Soon to be storage hole.
I can't post this without mentioning my amazing dad who did some nasty insulation work while they visited. You did say that quality time came in the form of working together, right Mom?

Blissful Days

Gisselle is a dear girl who is super good with the girls.
I know. Hair in the face.

Beautiful, sweet smelling roses from my handsome husband on Valentines Day!

Happy 3rd girl!

God saw fit to give us a blizzard for Juliana's birthday which was a sweet gift. It was a Sunday and church was in the morning and then a big special supper was planned for the youth and their parents that night. Needless, to say, I had not figured out how to do Juliana's birthday. And then a blizzard came through and cancelled everything!!! We had a wonderfully, much needed day at home together.

Aunt Alicia, she has LOVED this plate! And so do I! Thanks so much!

Here's the idea: Saran wrap balloons to a door so that when the birthday girl/boy opens the door, the balloons come falling down.
Here's the tricky part: Older sister normally wakes up first.
Did it work??

Well, child #1 did wake up first and came out. We quickly went to work saran wrapping balloons to the door. Not 1 minute after we finished (enough time for a picture), birthday girl woke up and opened the door. To her surprise, balloons came falling on her and mommy yelled, "Happy Birthday!" a little too loudly a little too early. So she cried.
But chocolate chip pancakes does the trick. :)

Work and Play and Sleep

Yes that is two children knocked out after a long day.

Dressed up for "western night" at Awana. This was the closest thing to western we had.
So the ramp triples as a wheelchair ramp, bike jump and sledding hill!
