Christmas 2012

 Christmas was delightful! We celebrated Jesus' birthday quietly on the 22nd and then left the following day to celebrate in Montana with the folks and sibs.

This was the first Christmas that the kids ran off and played while the adults talked and played games for several hours. They were great playmates!

 Two very special people, Great Grandpa and Great Grandma~

 And what's a Christmas without a project? Anthony built an outdoor porch cooler for Caleb.

 And Caleb is building Anthony an outdoor concrete ping pong table.

 And Dawson and Dad and Anthony built a ramp for us to take home so that our dear friend Stephanie can come over and visit freely!

 She was super excited as you can tell. :) So were we.

Dream Job

 Have you ever wondered what a 2 year and 5 year old girl's dream job would be?

It would have to involve wearing a big dress, painting your nails, getting your hair done and feeling like a princess.

 Not to mention a prince to dance with.

 That's right...a flowergirl!!!

They will be promoted to bride in approximately 30 years. For now they will have to remain princesses in waiting.

 This dream job does include naps on the work site.

Seeing Anthony's niece get married puts fear in a parent's heart about how quickly a little girl grows up. May we make the most of every opportunity!

Home Fun

It is official that our house now has a preschooler and toddler (almost preschooler) and no babies which makes life fun at home.

Sweet Visits

November was a month of sweet visits with brothers and sisters and parents. Dawson and Alicia came with their boys and a little later Caleb and Becca came with their girl and boy and with Mom and Dad. It all went by too quick!

 So when my male relatives come to visit, their ingenuity and creativity never ceases to amaze me. This is a log Caleb found down by the river and dragged with Dad's Edge down the street 2 blocks just so we could have firewood.

 A sweet gift from God. We have already put it to use, going up into the mountains, hauling cargo (the breathing and non-breathing kind), and driving in blizzard conditions. It has been wonderful!
