God saw fit to give us a blizzard for Juliana's birthday which was a sweet gift. It was a Sunday and church was in the morning and then a big special supper was planned for the youth and their parents that night. Needless, to say, I had not figured out how to do Juliana's birthday. And then a blizzard came through and cancelled everything!!! We had a wonderfully, much needed day at home together.
Aunt Alicia, she has LOVED this plate! And so do I! Thanks so much!
Here's the idea: Saran wrap balloons to a door so that when the birthday girl/boy opens the door, the balloons come falling down.
Here's the tricky part: Older sister normally wakes up first.
Did it work??
Well, child #1 did wake up first and came out. We quickly went to work saran wrapping balloons to the door. Not 1 minute after we finished (enough time for a picture), birthday girl woke up and opened the door. To her surprise, balloons came falling on her and mommy yelled, "Happy Birthday!" a little too loudly a little too early. So she cried.
But chocolate chip pancakes does the trick. :)
