Unexpected Blessings

I love the way God shows He cares. The other day the girls and I were at the library. This had followed a somewhat crummy week of sibling rivalry and whining. So we ended up at the library because that's a great place to go when you need out. A man walked up to the girls and I who were sprawled out amongst books on the floor. He said, "You have beautiful kids."

I don't know if it was the years in Chicago, but I'm somewhat apprehensive of men who come up and say something like that. I tried not to be rude, looked up at him and responded with a thank you. He then said, "I love kids. Go do something fun with them today." He reached down and handed me a twenty. I barely had time to respond and he was gone.

Talk about making someone's day! We went to the donut shop across the street and then to McDonalds for lunch. Now every time we walk by the donut shop the girls ask to go in. :) God, please that man for blessing us!

Mitchell, here we come!

A few weeks ago, Anthony texted me and said, "You wanna go on an adventure?" I said, "YEEEAH!!!" So we drove down to Mitchell, SD, got a hotel with a swimming pool and waterslide and shivered our way into the pool. It was a delightful mini adventure.

The Lone Picture

With our camera out of commission over Christmas, this would be the one picture we got off before it went dead. A plea to my beloved sisters who took pictures over Christmas...Please help!!

Would this be an oxymoron?

You know you have become entirely too used to having a phone with you wherever you go when you forget it at home and then your first impulse is to call your husband to tell him you forgot your phone.

God does answer prayer in funny ways

The charger has been found and thanks to my dear thoughtful brother Caleb, we have a backup and a car charger to go along with it. I was looking for my black acrylic paint which I had remembered putting somewhere and then it falling behind that something. I remember thinking, "I'll remember where that is, but I'm too lazy to get it now." Suffice to say the paint is still lost, but the charger is found in the search for the paint!

The Awana lesson this week was about the shepherd who went in search of the 1 sheep that was lost. The suggested activity to go along with the story was hiding 5 objects and then the child looking for them. Needless to say, I was very careful in what I chose and how I hid them because I was scared I would forget where I hid the objects.

How awesome that our God doesn't forget where we are or when we are lost, He always knows where to find us!

Please pray God will show us where our camera battery charger is!! Hence the reason no pictures for the last month. :/
